I don't think that they are in the level too win the UCL this season. Modric is 35 and Kruz 30, and they don't really have anyone that can provide competition
They still have Isco, Velverde and Ødegaard. They're not winning the CL even if they made those signings.

Madrid probably already have unwritten agreements in place to sign Mbappe and Camavinga next summer, could probably buy Upamecano then too to replace Ramos.

Barca are a dumpster fire this year, Atleti have no money, so it's not like their rivals are in a particularly strong position. They can probably just get by this season, hopefully get more out of Hazard, and go big next summer.
