Now i know this may have been done before but i thought after the success of the charity shield we should look at what a great future we have.
Heres what our starting line up in 3 years may look like:

stack - probably not, we will probably buy a new keeper

cole - say no more

toure - future legend of the club? future no6?

senderos - not had a chance yet and i am doubtful about tall donkey looking centre backs these days, but hes highly rated.

hoyte - going to be class

van persie - highly rated, lets wait and see

cesc - will be a top player, equal to vieira in class

? - im sure we will buy another centre mid cos we wont have many left in 3 years, flamini will he cut it?

pennant - great player, could be a world beater

reyes - need i say more

Henry -

It gets abit tough because we have numerous good players in one position that will miss out. Clichy, Bentley and ryan smith are all class players. Clichy has proved he deserves to start for arsenal but where? Maybe he will give van persie a right go for his money or hopefully he will be developed somewhere else, maybe centre mid where we are abit weaker in depth for the future.
Bentley, where will he fit in? Challenging for right mid with pennant? Upfront in place of who??? Smith, now he is brilliant, mark my words, he does people with ease and tears defences apart with great and exciting tricks. BUT i just have a bad feeling that he will be one wenger lets go. Lets hope not, he really is good, shame he is another left mid along with clichy and van persie.

All in all we have a great future, all great players, this arsenal team could well be englands greatest ever team if they keep developing and stay together. I think we will see most of these lads playing in 3 years at ahsburton. The only problem is the good players that will miss out, most guttedly of all is clichy, i really want him to play alot but i just cant see where. Lets hope he gets a good 25 games this year.
Thoughts?

Bentley is a worry - Ryan Smith will really push for the left midfield spot, as perhaps Clichy.

And one thing Bentley lacks in the Arsenal game is pace. He has the spark for the middle, but Van Persie's spark may be significantly brighter. RVP has some physical tools which put him a better position to play in the hole at the highest level in the Prem. It will be interesting to see how Bentley does in that Norwich side.

Ryan Garry - let's see how he develops too. Unfortunate with injuries, but he, and Hoyte are our up and coming English defensive core hopes.

What i want to see in these youngsters is not only talent, but character and spirit. We need to work to replace Ray, Keown, and now even Vieira's leadership.

Graham Stack is a player i admire for his mentality. Great personality. I hope he suceeds as he is a winner.

Guv thats a great team, I think Senderos can make it at Arsenal, you said you're doubtful about tall donkey looking centre backs these days, but hes highly rated.

I say Tony Adams and what Wenger did to him.

As a top team we will need to mix players that have been there along time with top class players bought in more recent times

Dennis Bergkamp is not the fastest player and look at him and his contribution to the team. What Bergkamp has though is Vision and movement off the ball that makes him class. Wenger and Bergy himself compared Bentley to him so obviously they have the same type of game. I think we can really judge Bentley this season with Norwich. Let me end by saying what Wenger said..

Bentley's technically TOP TOP TOP.. or something like that.

Looking at that team guv its very good, but I believe Campbell will be around in three years time. So Senderos would be backup. This shuld have been in say 6-8 years. Then We'd have

-----------------------------Stack/Someone new-----------------------------------

-Hoyte/Fahty----------Senderos/?------Toure/?----------------Cole/Clichy---

Pennant/?-------------Cesc/?----------Flamini/Svard-----------Smith/Clichy--

------------------------Reyes/Aliadiere---RvP/Lupoli------------------------------

But then Clichy'd be on the bench and wouldn't stand for that. Question marks are what I don't know, and second names are subs. But not all these players will make it. I'm almost certain, but I hope to be proved wrong.

Bentley is one of my favorite youngster! He'll be a star for Arsenal & England I think!

Ali... seriously doubtful!

Cesc I reckon he's just a few step from world class!

Reyes!? You've got to be kidding me! He is a star!

Clichy, well he'll just need to push harder! Ashley is growing to be the best in the world! Maybe he should try playing as a right back?

Hoyte, he's great! But haven't seen him much! My suggestion is "Keep working Young man"

Senderos, only if he can stay out of injury!

Stack... I just don't feel quite safe with him!

Flamini, still early to say anything about him!

Robin van Persie, I hope he's not overrated!

Lupoli, 40goals in 20 games? We'll see!

Abeyie & Ryan Smith, very promising in my opinion!

the CS game on Sunday certainly whetted the appetite for the Carling Cup games even more so this season than last. Which position did AW buy RVP for? He said in one of his pre-season interviews that he didn't like playing on the left nd had been told he'd be playing behind the strikers in the DB10 role. Where does that leave Bentley?

Clichy will propably be better than Smith. Otherwise I agree with most of your team there *Loyan*, except maybe put in Garry at either left-back or centre-back, you can add Taylor to the goalkeeper spot perhaps, Bentley can play right mid perhaps, or even pushing RvP down on right mid and playing up front. We have too many good young players, it's becoming a luxury problem! :D

and of course when we win the CL this season everybody will want to come play for us....oh damn i woke up...

i can't see that all the youngsters will last the distance...but we're bound to get a few new faces from abroad in especially after the new ground is up...

Bentley will be a future star at Arsenal...he is already looking like Norwich's best player based on the reports i have read and the wonder goal he scored.

He has been playing left midfield for Norwich but at Arsenal he was right midfield and we know he can play up front. So he can play anywhere along the front line. For me, Bentley, Pennant and V Persie are all about the same level. Everybody assumes V Persie and Pennant are future first teamers...i don't see why they are getting the nod above Bentley in your assumptions. The only thing Bentley is missing is experience, after this season that won't be a concern and i think he will be an automatic choice when he returns.

I am almost as excited about seeing Norwich play as i am Arsenal this season.

Just imagine....... Bentley: The English Bergkamp!!!

Im drooling!!!

Pennant's been around first team football a bit longer than Bentley, he had games in 2002-03, he's had the year on loan. By the time Bentley comes back from Norwich, Pennant will have had what looks like it could be a whole year involved with our senior squad.

I don't think either Stack or Taylor will still be here in 3 years time.

but when do you stop brining in loads of youngsters and start playing the ones we got a while back. otherwise we'd be constantly bringing in and trying to play young people for the future, but they'd have no future cause we'd bring in more young 'ens..... if u get what i mean..... :|

Im sure Wenger will know when he has all the wonder kids he needs. Kind of like Mourinho who wanted two class players for every position.

Wenger probably wants a fantastic prospect for every position which he almost has.

Taylor/Stack

Hoyte Senderos Garry Clichy

Pennant Cesc Flamini V Persie/Smith

Bentley Aliadiere/Luppoli

Im sure there are more waiting behind in the Under 17's and below, not to mention any other potential superstars Wenger is monitoring.

Don't get too intoxicated with the allure of unproven youth.

Half of the players in these future 11s will likely never see regular first teem football with Arsenal, if for no other reason than new signings will be coming in and claiming spots.

I really don't see the promise of Pennent yet.. and Flamini,
Van Persie, Senderos, Bentley, Fabregas, Hoyte, Svard (going nowhere), Smith.. are all unproven in the premier league.

I think Cesc is the best of that bunch. (Having seen nothing of Flamini yet). Reyes, Cole, Clichy and Toure have already shown their worth and hopefully will all be around for some time to come. I can definitely see Clichy getting more time on the left wing.

Remember that Edu will still only be 29 in 3 years, assuming that he stays... and Henry 30.. it'll be a sad day when he steps aside.

I dont really care about what young players we have in 6-8 years time, I'm concentrating on the season ahead only

I want to see Clichy and Cole play at the same time on the left side with Pires moving inside to play a free role. The thing I loved about the two left backs on sunday was the fact that one covered for the other so the attacking option was there with the knowledge there was a specialist player covering behind which bamboozles defenders and sure did for Neville at Cardiff

Johe I agree with putting Gerry at CB but not at left back, as Cole is just 23 now, and at that time will be 26, or 29 if you count my 6 years that I used. You're right as well I should have put Bently on at RM, but I forgot as I was looking for a place to put him up front. But we've got to remember that it's highly unlikely that all these players will make it at Arsenal.
