Now the league is down and we been spending huge for years.
Arsenal had a very bad squad for modern top football when Arteta came. He has made a total overhaul.

He has basically spent more only from summer 21/22. Especially because his most important buy Partey in 20/21 has been able to play like 50% of possible minutes. That 21/22 transfer budget was spent on many players with potential, not instant top level.

So it's not even three years yet that Arsenal has spent big. Klopp and Pep have built their teams for years and years, and they have had a lot of time to learn to play together well.

Any sensible person would expect the squad reach title challenging level only this season, or perhaps the next, but Arteta did it already last season.

No can you read. I said we had money and everyone else was down. Stop pretending Arsenal’s situation 2016 is same as Arsenal now. The league was down and we had no money to capitalize. Now the league is down and we been spending huge for years. If you want to keep playing dumb and ignoring the difference in our financial situation in 2016 as opposed to 2024 then carry on

Was 2016 in your lifetime? You're chatting waffle and went for hyperbole and it blew up in your face, just own it for once.

We didn’t spend in 2016 and years prior to it like now, keep repeating yourself and ignoring the facts. It’s tiresome. Done with it. Unless you are saying in 3 years before 2016 we spent the same as the prior 3 years under Arteta; which we all know is not true.

We spent 180 million 21/22 and lead all of europe in transfer spend. Just because we bought a bunch of players that weren’t good enough it was still a huge net spend for that timeframe. There are no more excuses; not time, not money, not superpower rivals who are all worse than they were 3 years ago.

Which of these players weren't good enough?

Because I'd say that Ben White, Martin Ødegaard, Aaron Ramsdale and Takehiro Tomiyasu were all fantastic purchases and easily 'good enough', making up €140m of the total €167m window. Additionally anyone trying to buy just Ødegaard would probably have to stump up €80m+ now. The punts on Lokonga, Tavares and Trusty totalled 25m and may well recoup more than that even though they didn't directly improve the squad.

You're full of sh!t again and no one is surprised.

Ramsdale, Lokonga, tavares, and Tomiyasu. I like Tomy. He just never plays. You can say good enough but a bad buy because he is never available.

Tell me how many windows in the years prior to 2016 Wenger got to spend more than anyone in Europe on 7 players. Then you can 2016 is similar to 2024

Arsenal Quotes

Arsenal are the most beautiful club in England. At Man City and Chelsea, they will never have that class and style.
