Another week, another set of ratings. As you know, I'm keeping a season long tally of the matchday ratings, so if you want your voice heard and want to contribute to the cause, please give a numerical rating of each player's performance today, on a scale of 1-10. If you put them in the following order, it will make my life easier ;)

Almunia
Sagna
Toure
Senderos
Clichy
Walcott
Flamini
Fabregas
Diaby
Eduardo
Adebayor

Denilson
Diarra
Song

Great performance. I thought Flamini had a superb match in the middle. His form this season has been as good as anyone, he just mops up everything and cuts out so many passes - Domenech would be crazy (no news there) to not think of capping him for France, his form more than deserves it.

Theo wasn't as good as the others and his final balls were a little poor but I'm confident Wenger will get more out of him in a few years. Also Senderos had a few Senderos moments. Otherwise nothing to really complain about.

Sagna :) Toure :) Senderos :| Clichy :|
Walcott :ph34r Flamini :| Fabregas :ph34r Diaby :)
Eduardo :) Adebayor :thumbup
Denilson :) Diarra :| Song :|

Team Verdict:
The second goal killed the game as a competition. None of our players were motivated for anything but a picnic in the Emirates against such poor opposition.
Derby may have the brains and technique for the premiership, but they lack any physical advantage, barely put up a fight after 2-0 and have the worst CB's I've seen in the Premiership for a while yet.
In fact, Derby, for all their hard work and loyal support, have no business being in the Premiership and it bloody shows.

Almunia -6- hard to rate someone who was hardly involved in the game.. didnt get scored on...

Sagna -7-quiet for the most part, but that's because our defence wasnt really needed much.. is one tough mofo after heading Lewis in the face..

Toure - 7.5 - solid in defence... had a couple of runs forward.. should have scored his header.. good game

Senderos - 6.5 - wasnt really needed much today, but his one ball right to Derby in front of the goal drops him half a point.. would much prefer Gallas back..

Clichy - 7 - see Sagna minus the headbutting part...

Walcott - 5 - our worst player on the day by a long shot... has some ability, but hast shown that he can actually use it yet.. decisions were all around poor....

Flamini - 7.5 - always running and hassling them, forcing them to give the ball away.. solid game from Matty..

Fabregas - 8 - his usual slick self.. always spraying the ball around.. scored again.. 7 goals for the season for him.. really stepped up this season so far

Diaby - 6.5 - scored one of our goals of the season.. almost had another.. TBH, other than that, was a bit wasteful... looked decent, but not great.. would be better in the middle, but cant really fault him for today, as he was good enough against Derby

Eduardo - 6.5 - always running and getting into good positions.. bad tackle to get booked, and a couple poor balls drops him a bit.. should have scored but Bywater saved well... first start, looks promising though..

Adebayor - 9 - MOTM.. 3 goals.. looked composed with the ball, too much for Derby to handle.. confidence should be sky high after today. well done Ade..

Denilson - 6.5 - only 20 mins.. looked good enough.. he probably could have started this match in place of Cesc and we would have done just fine... sees the game well and has good touch with the ball...

Diarra - 6.5 - same with Denilson really.. looked good enough when he was in there... by then the game was long done...

Song - 6 - on good interception near the goal line.. passed the ball well enough, but didnt really do anything.. just brought on for some playing time really...

You people are very generous, Theo doesn't deserves anything above a 5 in my book. Very very wasteful.

seriously? were you watching the same match? Ade scores a treble and you give him 7.5? and you gave Cesc a 6.5?

oooooooooook

...and this is an illustration why the 1-10 scale doesn't work, as I argued at the beginning of the season. Ade scores a hat trick, and people are giving him a 9. What constitutes a 10? If he'd have scored 5 today and assisted 2 more, would that warrant a 10? :D

Mate sort your smiley ratings out they make no sense and are frankly stupid. Sorry to be a killjoy and all that.

Alumina 7 - Solid when called upon.

Sagna 7 - Not his best performance but still more than adequate.

Toure 8 - Solid at the back with some great runs forward.

Senderos 7 - Solid and dominant in the air.

Clichy 7 - Didn't really do anything except from one good interception.

Theo 6 - Some good moments but wasted a lot of promising situations.

Cesc 8 - Not very busy but you can't fault his end product.

Flamini 7 - Didn't notice him much.

Diaby 7 - Not as bad as before but still not very impressive. His goal was though.

Eduardo 7 - A good game from him, shame he couldn't score.

Ade 10 - Fantastic. It's amazing that he's such a good player with the deficiencies in his game.

Subs:

Denilson 7 - Played some great passes over the top to Ade.

Diarra 7 - Tidy in midfield.

Song N/A - Scared Derby into gifting us possession.

Almunia-6

Nothing to do today.

Sagna-6.5

Ditto.

Toure-7.5

Gets some extra marks for his involvement with our attack.

Senderos-6

Glad that I didn't notice him.

Clichy-6.5

Same as Manny/Clichy.

Walcott-5.5

Disapointing but showed some promise. Needs to work on his execution.

Flamini-6.5

Did his job without any fuss; hardly overworked today.

Cesc-7

A bit low you may say, but I think that can be more attributed to how much I think he can achieve when he is on top form. For me he was barely trying today (yet still played well). What a player we have on our hands!

Diaby-6.5

Drifted in a bit too much for my liking, but other than that a solid game.

Eduardo-6

Tried to get involved but still lacking understanding with his fellow teammates. Not to say he had a bad performance, but he wasn't prominent enough today.

Adebayor-8

Was the link between midfield and the forwards. Roamed all over the pitch almost in the manner that Titi used to. Caused so many problems today for Derby. Has now added goal-scoring to his armoury.

Subs:
Denilson-7

Short time, but enough to make some great passes.

Diarra-6

Patches of goodness.

Song-6

Nothing to do.

EDIT: Forgot the order MDGoonah...sorry. Have changed it now. :)

Arsenal Quotes

When I first came to Arsenal, I realised the back four were all university graduates in the art of defending. As for Tony Adams, I consider him to be a doctor of defence. He is simply outstanding.
