We've barely played in 2024 compared to City and Liverpool, I'm pretty sure VVD played all 38 games when Liverpool won the title. If Gabriel is truly in the 'red zone' then yes, we need to give him a rest but every player at this stage of the season is going to have some form of fatigue.

Centrebacks play everything like a goalkeeper unless they are injured. Rodri (and most CDM’s) covers way more distance, fatigue will be more of an issue.

We looked woeful last season with Saliba, but people forget we also looked a bit all over the place to start this season when Gabriel was benched...the draw with Fulham was unbelievably bad.
Think those 2 have a bit of a symbiotic relationship, feel they have 100% faith in each other and we don't want to mess around with that safety net...I would really try to play them in every game if we can.
