Was playing in midfield alone, against Fabinho and Henderson, what do you expect.

Same as usual, slow start, grew in to the game - got to grips with the game and made some really nice passes. Could improve on the defensive side though if hes going to be the deepest midfielder.

He’s 22. Fabregas and Wilshere were bossing the midfield at a younger age. Looks weak, slow, one paced and another who can’t handle a press or pressure. He’s too raw for a 22 year old.

That's very harsh...Fab is one of the great Prem players, while Jack was a bit of a freak too at that age.

He's more of a Alex Song type, a gradual improver in a team, ideally next to better/experienced players.

Look Fabregas and Wilshere are unique talents nobody can be extremely ready at 18 years of age like them. Lokonga is raw because he played in Belgium no demanding league he can express himself at England is total different story he showed what he could do just like Tavares but there lot to improve i don't expect to be quick we have to give them time to develop further

Not sure this is the type of talent that you risk it all for neither is Ben White imo. Signing a first choice midfielder was a bigger priority.

We could have probably signed him this summer as I’m sure he would have still been attainable at a reasonable fee.

Tbf Ødegaard showed a lot more than Lokonga has in those 6 months.

He was bought to be 3rd choice or 4th that's why he hasn't play since November when Partey xhaka came back after the international break he likely won't see pitch apart from few sub appearances.

Next summer we need to get more experience around midfield upgrade xhaka and add more experienced backup

True, it’s a bit early to judge him fully but still if he was a Bellingham or even a Gallagher type of talent then I would have understood it but risking it all for a kid that’ll be decent in 2-3 years is pure incompetence.
