Maybe this is the most important transfer of this summer. Nevermind his errors, what's much worse is the guy is a clown. Someone who is complaining to his teammates or the referee while the game is on (e.g. Bayern 1-5; Agueros goal last year), someone who doesn't see his own mistakes and blames others (Leno against Palace).

The least Gazidis can do to redeem himself a bit is take Mustafi for 60m.

Why are people so accepting of a loan? Milan can go **** themselves, we don't have the finances to allow a first team player to go on loan with the player overhaul the squad is needing this summer.
The state of things if we allow Mustafi to go on loan, only to spend a large chunk of our budget on Manolas, who, arguably, isn't much of an upgrade. We would just be pissing money away again.

It shouldnt be such a big problem to sell Mustafi if we are prepared to take a loss and sell somewhere between 12-15m, that would be good business considering his performances and salary. Also Mustafi could actually be ok in a slower paced league, he ll still be making mistakes, but he should be winning much more duels in Italy for example.

I was just browsing through a few pages of the old one and was struck by how unpopular an idea getting rid of Mustafi was at the time. "Ludicrous." "Must keep him at all costs." "Mustafi will be elite." "Madness." Although very late in the thread, in the midst of the brief Juve link, someone with Groucho's mustache suggested, tongue firmly planted in cheek, that Arsenal swap him for Benatia -- or Douglas Costa.

Just release the guy, this garbage about our budget this season is a joke. We are losing alot of wages this summer and with other pot players leaving our budget should be bouncing. If we win the el we get a stack of cash, if we dont we still get a stack of cash for sky tv rights.

You don't think Mustafi basically saying he intends to see out his contract at Arsenal is relevant? It might not be what you want to hear, but if he wants to stay that makes it more difficult to move him. It seems he will need to be convinced to go.

If you've actually followed Arsenal, then you know that spending time on the bench has been an option for a number of players. They can't force him to go unless they want to just pay off his contract. I personally think he'll probably end up leaving this summer after some talks with Emery, but he can make it very difficult for them. And that's important.

I'm just amazed that there is a transfer speculation. This guy shouldn't be get a gig as a footballer anywhere. He should be thinking about retiring and go back to elementary school.
