We haven't been seriously linked all window other than some wish list type speculation in June = seems too much like 2011 'enquiries' for Goetze & Hazard.

Maybe so. But we do have a history of signing players out of basically no where as well (Kos, Merte, Arteta, etc).

But NOT for anything over 15m.

just going to think out loud here....

what if our two signings are draxler and benzema, with madrid buying bale and suarez?

that would be a hell of an end to the window

---- arteta ------ ramsey ------

-- walcott -- cazorla -- draxler

------------ benzema -----------

figure we paid £38m for draxler and £35m for benzema. flamini and sanogo were free. thats 4 additions.

and means we'll actually have a legitimate bench when arteta, ox, and podolski are back.

So, it was Draxler all along, hey?

Can he play CF...? :D

Probably no worse than Michu once he found his feet.

Looking at his youtube links posted & I thought of him as the new/next RVP/TH along with the likes of Lamela & Co.

Draxler is not a CF but I bet AW would want to mold him into one over the next 2-3 seasons. Means he knows he's getting an extension....

id just merge the threads. will look pretty silly when we sign draxler for more than double our transfer record and his official thread is only 5 pages long

Are you actually worried that our marquee signing is going to have only 5 pages of discussion on AM?

We've probably had 1000's of pages behind Ribery, M'Villa, Suarez, Higuain, Robinho, Goetze, Jovetic, Cesc, Mata, Hazard etc. None of them signed.

I'd rather we get our tranfers done without any knowledge before hand than know an inkling and nothing ever happening. This transfer window has taken its toll on you. :bash

If someone of any repute reports this then I'll come back here and apologize to Geoff.

Just because his mate John Cross also read his tweet and then wrote a report on it doesn't give it any credibility.

If we are going after the guy what are the chances that it drags out until deadline day meaning we don't need to sign anyone else

Long journey home from Prague continues. Nice stopover in Zurich now. My travelling companion @jwtelegraph and his jokes keeping me going.

So that's why they write basically the same stuff every night.

Did you see how Geoff aka Blocky Balboa has been blocking and retweeting people who wrote a word against him?

How pathetic is that, what a ****. He loves this attention he's getting at the moment. He has some inside info, but he acts like he's some hero with his tweets. And those *blocky tweets are just the lowest possible standard you can drop to. Stunnig all this is coming from a grown man.

Yeah, what the hell is up with that? Mindless abuse that no-one would probably dare say to his face and he has the audacity to block them?!

We should go all out for Reus next summer...
On which opponents you most looking forward to?
First to Arsenal because there does my erstwhile model Tomas Rosicky. He is similar to me about his style of play here and I hope that we can now meet once on the court.

Isn't Reus, Dortmunnd's Wilshere?

Not really. He wasn't born and bred by Dortmund like Wilshere was by us.

Wilshere is unique. Isn't it that he doesn't even have an agent or something because he doesn't ever want to leave Arsenal?

No other player is like that I'm sure. We can get Reus for sure if we try over the next couple of seasons. He clearly has feelings for the club.

Having said that, Holtby said the same thing, look how that turned out.

Arsenal Quotes

Right from his very first match, when Patrick Vieira was as yet unknown to the English public, he showed just how talented he was. No one disputed his ability, and he gave me the credibility and the hold over the club that I needed to take it in the direction I wanted. He and Emmanuel Petit became a duo that would remain forever etched in the memories of Arsenal fans.
