They'll cling onto him for dear life, that's for sure. West Ham the only club in need of a striker who are big enough to attract him imo. Maybe Leicester. Can't see Arsenal going for him, the people at Arsenal have probably never even heard of places like Peterborough, bloody Islington metropolitan elite!
You think Sp**s would go for him? They tried to sign Watkins as a back-up for Kane last summer, maybe they go back to Brentford for his replacement.

How bad do Newcastle feel watching this whilst Joelinton is knocking them in for fun? 😂 That's not to say it would have worked out like it has for Toney with them but surely they saw enough in him to think that a loan might have been better than selling him for peanuts?

Nevermind places like Tadcaster and Towton  Though both are brilliant, granted one was for beer and the other for the battlefield.

You think they're too posh for Peterborough?

Amazing to see Brentford going up, almost like Orient back in the day. Always felt they were smaller than Millwall too.

Brentford fan in the stadium who's been supporting since 1934 😮

Their last top flight game was against Arsenal in 1947! Pretty incredible.

Brentford are also a great retort for whenever you hear a football fan say they don't believe in stats, cos Brentford haven't got to the PL by just having a sugar daddy owner like Bournemouth or a super agent connection like Wolves, they've got there cos they bought into stats 100% and run their entire model on good stats-based recruitment.

He scored 23 and 26 in his last two seasons in League One, now he has 34 in the Championship so he seems to be able to step when the standard increases.
Would have liked to see a bit more composure with him on that chance he around had around the 80th minute but he seems like another Watkins but I’m guessing he’s a better finisher.

Defo qualifies for sauce gang so I’ll be keeping an eye. 😂

I reckon Brentford are in trouble though, teams that get promoted playing nice football don’t tend to do as well as those who got promoted by being solid.

If Ayew had scored that chance after HT it would have been interesting to see if Brentford held out but happy for them, always like seeing teams who've never been up before get promoted.

Should be all over Toney by the way, way better than the likes of Watkins, DCL and Bamford who've been tearing it up in the PL, he's got a far higher ceiling. Too obvious for us tho.

Arsenal Quotes

The English codified the rules of football just as the French perfected wine. We don't often ask an English person to come over to make Bordeaux.
