Honestly, I think Partey is so important to keep fit, that we should rest him for Everton, brentford, and City atleast. Maybe the rest of the season. If he gets injured…. It’d really cost us.

He's central (literally) to everything we want to do. Elneny, Sambi and now Jorginho are all unfit replacements. If he's unavailable, Arteta has to tweak the formation as it can't be replicated without him
Really not great game gie passing was so off not sure he is fit and fully recovered from rib injury still too important player

We lost the second half because 1) unforced errors like poor passing, panicked passing, and miserable finishing and 2) because City increased the pressure on players who aren’t confident with the ball under pressure. Smart by them.
Partey prevents #2 because he usually has the ball in our defensive third and you cannot pressure him on the ball without suffering an Arsenal counter attack. He will dribble by you and into space or put a longer ball through with pace.
Eventually we will get more players who are confident on the ball and can expose pressure.
He was a big miss, but we still could have gotten something out of the match.

I think Partey is really skilled for a DM but compare him against CMs and he starts to look less good imo.
Kind of like getting a really good attacking fullback and pushing them up to the wing.
