Yeah, I actually think Özil was doing alright and he can be a threat on the break

Exactly my thoughts, get compact with a defender at RB in, go 4311. Shut Rennes out during their pushing phase, keep tight and then hit them on the break with Mkhi, Özil and Ramsey as fulcrum up top.
