That’s because when there’s 5 teams in the champions league the TV money gets split five ways so the overall revenue is lower than if there was only 4 teams from one country. Kind of ironic that we need it for the money but getting in it via the Europa means we’ll only get slightly more than what we’ll get for winning the Europa.
