Liverpool v Arsenal

Arsenal and Liverpool face off at Anfield with each team aiming to maintain their perfect start to the season.

Both Jurgen Klopp and Unai Emery’s side have taken six points from their opening two games ahead of the face-off on Merseyside.

Emery has Mesut Ozil available after the German returned to training this week. Concerns for his safety following an attack by knife-wielding thugs last month has so far kept the 30 year-old out of action.

David Luiz made his first start for the club against Burnley and should retain his role in the lineup alongside Sokratis Papastathopoulos. Nicolas Pepe is also pushing for his first start for the Gunners.

As for the Reds, Alisson Becker (calf) remains out of action for the time being for Liverpool, meaning Adrian will continue in goal.

Naby Keita is also expected to miss out again with a muscle problem, which means Klopp will have to find a balance to his midfield.

Arsenal were thrashed 5-1 at Anfield last season. Unai Emery will be hoping his rebuilt defence will be up to the task this time around.
