Arsenal transfer target Nabil Fekir is closing in on completing a move.

The Gunners have been linked with the Lyon midfielder for some time, but an official bid was never made for the Frenchman.

Fekir came close to joining Liverpool for more than £50m last summer and was even pictured in a Reds shirt before the deal broke down due to concerns over a long-standing knee injury.

But now, the playmaker is on the verge of finalising a £26m to Spain.

According to L’Equipe , it is La Liga side Real Betis who have emerged as the surprise destination for the Lyon skipper, who turned 26 today.

Valencia and Sevilla have also been linked with a move and could still land Fekir, who is expected to have his future decided soon.

He showed his class for Lyon last season, netting nine times and providing seven league assists.
