Chris Sutton has blasted Moises Caicedo for his conduct in trying to force a move away from Brighton this January transfer window.

The Gunners have been pushing for the signing of Caicedo from Brighton over the past few weeks.
It became a priority for Mikel Arteta after the long term injury sustained by Mohamed Elneny which left Arsenal with Thomas Partey, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Granit Xhaka as the options in the middle of the park.
In a bid to get a new addition, Arsenal went all out for Caicedo but the club turned the Gunners down on multiple occasions and the deal is seemingly off.

Chris Sutton has slammed former Arsenal target Moises Caicedo, labelling the Brighton star’s behaviour as ‘downright stupid’.
Sutton has now offered his opinion on the transfer saga as he told the Daily Mail: “Moises Caicedo is either being very badly advised or he’s an idiot.”
“That social media post was downright stupid. He’s seen what Leandro Trossard did to get to Arsenal and he’s copying him.”
“But Brighton have every right to be standing firm on their £80m valuation.”
THE VERDICT: NOT HAPPENING
Despite the player’s conduct and the club’s reluctance to sell, Arsenal have moved on to their second option – Jorginho.
Caicedo will now have to live with the consequences of his action to leave the club this month, while Arsenal have also gone ahead to snap up another midfielder instead.
