According to BBC Sport, Arsenal have seen two bid for Kieran Tierney rebuffed by Celtic.

The north Londoners initially had a £15m bid rejected by the Scottish champions and returned to the table with a slightly improved offer, but are understood to still be some way short of the £25 million valuation placed on the player by the Celtic CEO Peter Lawwell.

Tierney, 22, is also being watched by Everton and Napoli, but Unai Emery’s side are still confident of landing the 22-year-old this window.

Unai Emery is keen to fix his defensive leak

The defender is on his way back after having a double hernia operation which ruled him out of the treble Treble clinching Scottish Cup Final victory over Hearts.

Emery is desperate to bolster his defence this summer. Nacho Monreal has been linked with a move to Spain, whilst Calum Chambers and Shkodran Mustafi could also face the trap door. Meanwhile, Carl Jenkinson’s contract is nearing an end.
