According to reports, Unai Emery has added Daniele Rugani to his ever-growing list of defensive targets – with Juventus reportedly willing to let him go.
The Gunners had been linked with the centre-half last year, but no official bid was launched.
Juve’s new manager, Maurizio Sarri is now set to offload a host of stars, with Rugani a likely casualty.
Arsenal have already targeted St Etienne ace William Saliba – and appear to have a sealed a £27million deal.
But Emery is now desperate to bring in further reinforcements for his backline, particularly after club captain Laurent Koscielny refused to join the team in pre-season.
Koscielny’s strike is seen as a way for the Frenchman to force a move out of The Emirates.
Meanwhile, Calum Chambers and Shkodran Mustafi’s futures remain uncertain.
Youngster, Saliba, may remain in France on loan for the season as part of the deal.
