Turkish side Fenerbahce are interested in signing Arsenal centre-back Shkodran Mustafi on a season-long loan.

The 27-year-old has been on the receiving end of criticism from the club’s supporters for a string of costly mistakes.

According to Turkish news outlet Aksam (via The Mirror), the club cannot meet Arsenal’s £25million asking price.

But they would be willing to strike a loan deal, with Fenerbache officials to arrive in the UK next week to hold talks with the north Londoners.

Mustafi is being linked with Fenerbahce

Last week it was suggested by respected BBC reporter David Ornstein that Arsenal have tried to sell Mustafi in nearly every transfer window since signing him from Valencia in 2017.

Although a loan deal would free up the wage budget, it is really a transfer fee Unai Emery is after. The Spaniard must offload some of his stars this summer if he’s to bring in the quality to elevate Arsenal back into the top four.
