There’s been a lot of talk over Arsene Wenger’s formation policy in recent weeks.

Arsenal have struggled for consistent form this season – at times the side look like world-beaters (see performance against Tottenham) and at others, they appear relegation stricken.

Each of those fixtures has seen Wenger start with the 3-4-3 formation, but after the Gunners most recent slow start in the 1-1 draw at Southampton, fans are now calling for the Frenchman to bin the experiment and revert back to a back four.

A back four which would permit three central-midfielders. One of those is Jack Wilshere, who has been in excellent form despite being restricted to substitute appearances.

With Arsenal 1-0 down to the Saints, the midfielder entered the fray in 69th minute and injected positive energy into his team’s build up play.

It led to Giroud’s late equaliser and fans hoping for change.

In a 4-3-3 formation, here’s who we think Arsene should deploy in the middle against the Hammers…
