While the form of Olivier Giroud has been in question by some lately, one thing for certain is that the Frenchman really does produce moments of magic on his day. His stunning effort against Crystal Palace was the run away winner for August goal of the month for more reasons than one.
The other two goals were of course own goals and Giroud’s goal rather won by default, but take nothing away from it, you would be hard pressed to find a better strike throughout the entire league during the month.
