Perhaps, he left for Pep. He was surplus to the requirement there anyway. He was not pushed out unceremoniously and sent to play with the reserves like it is happening now at MU though.

They are indeed getting ransom money for Pogba (and filling the pocket of his greasy agent). That is a lot of pressure on the player though to live up to this.
Because he buys young players and develops them. Not just buying every finished article available.
