Arsenal’s three best results of 2016/17
Ludogorets 2-3 Arsenal – Tuesday 1 November
The result away to Ludogorets seemed definitive before the teams kicked off. The Gunners put the Bulgarian side to the sword in the reverse fixture winning 6-0. Another Arsenal win was almost guaranteed.
However Ludogorets forgot to read the script and stunned Arsenal with an early 2-0 lead.
Wenger’s side pulled a goal back before half time through Granit Xhaka and in the second half Olivier Giroud equalised.
It wasn’t until the 87th minute when a simply sublime Mesut Ozil winner sealed the comeback. The result was crucial as The Gunners went on to win their Champions League Group A by the smallest of margins.
