He's a striker. It's a unique position in the field. He scored twice and moved the scoreboard in our favour. Does not matter else he does or doesnt do. He did his primary job.

He's a support striker, not the target man he wishes he were. His job is also to help others.

His job is to score. Because if he doesn't, funnily enough, he'll get murdered for it. It's very simple: If he played 5 games, scored 0, and kept missing chances, he'd get murdered for it. So when he scores (twice in one game), he should be free from the sort of criticism we see. But no.

He is stealing valuable minutes from more talented players and it is making me angry!

El bunny is always fit and have good work rate, most of our CMs in squad can't stay fit for entire season(Wilshere,Ramsey,Coq and Santi). Also Wenger doesnt want to overplay kids after Wilshere/Ox injury issues. We should find an upgrade for him, but looks like we found hard to shift him out this summer. Just hoping Wilshere gets fit and keep bunny out of matchday squad.

This game - Theo = 2-2

Perspective ffs. He scored twice.

agree. lots of problems with that performance or being unable to put out a proper second team. Saying that, look at that XI: Elneny, two out of position youngsters as wingbacks, 2 out of three 3 CBs a senior and a youngster, the third was Mustafi who's looked quite off this season. Wilshere is just on his way back to complete match fitness and sharpness, Giroud is, well, Giroud and then there's Walcott himself. Everyone knows what's wrong with him and that he should've been replaced years ago...but tonight he did his job, scored twice. Can't really exect much more from him in that XI against Bate in the EL.

Decent performance and important win. But people shouldn't think`t this was the BATE team from a few years back which was actually a decent side. They`re now third in the Belarussian league so we should beat them away even with our reserves.

Wilshere looked quite good and 90 minutes will do him good. Willock struggled at times but has something about him. Good on the ball, can get himself out of tight situations and uses his body well. I thought Maitland Niles had a decent game too.

People aren`t picking on Walcott for no reason, if Giroud scored a tap-in and a gift from the keeper literally to his feet but played crap he`d cop it too. For me it`s his inability to do the basics - dribbling, crossing, passing. I enjoyed his goals, but cringed whenever he had the ball.

"But.. but... he's not that sort of player!..."

Now where have I heard that defense before?

He's basically our version of Muller, when he scores he's doing his job essentially.

Impressive performance, he was the best of the youngsters today. I thought AMN was pretty effective too, he could have had an assist or two with a better final ball.

That's it! That's all we can hope for so when it happens, great. It's no secret he's not great at everything. Whatever else he does good is a bonus. It's not like we don't know who he is! He's been with us forever

Arsenal Quotes

A team can attack for too long. The most opportune time for scoring is immediately after repelling an attack, because opponents are then strung out in the wrong half of the field. All the men are expected to play to plan, but not so as to stifle individuality
