Atleast something we partially agree on.He didn't want to go. He would have rather stayed. But he's going. That's it. Anything else is pointless. What's the point of trying to reject it? The board certainly didn't want him to stay. It's a possibility he may have been considering leaving and the board thought it was time as well, that's a mutual decision. It's also a strong possibility the board encouraged him to leave. What is pretty certain is that Wenger wouldn't have put forward the idea of leaving at this stage and the board actually wanted him to stay.
