If Arteta is such hidden gem as manager/head coach, clubs should line up near him to get his signature, but I don't see any, except Arsenal.
Because other clubs know they won't have a chance to get him anyway.

The coach can always sell a Lacazette, Ramsey, Mustafi, Xhaka, Chambers to raise funds if not in plans. First time in a while we have assets worth a bit & not on absurd wages.

We're Arsenal FC. We shouldn't have to sell to buy, mate.

Any owner, bar Kroenke, and that wouldn't be the case.

What a rubbish argument.

Pep took him, Potch wanted him.

Besides, which part do you not understand regarding the people at our club seeing potential in him when he was here? Wenger, Gazidis and other people at the club have seen him close and know a lot more about him than other clubs do.

Gazidis has managed to con most Arsenal fans into wanting a manager with no experience. He's hardly going to care what a few switched on fans say in an angry email.

He's done his job, again. Kroenke goes home happy, again. Arteta will probably be on 40% or so of Wenger's wages. We spend £50m, which is about 4 times less than what a major manager like Allegri would have wanted.

Kroenke has just saved himself about £165m quid with one decision and the Arsenal fans are lapping it up. :bounce::lol:

United tried to find the next Ferguson in Moyes, which is exactly the same trap people on here are falling into hoping Arteta can carry on Wenger's legacy.

Nothing alike. Moyes was a midtable **** playing **** football.

Arteta may be the greatest or worst thing in the world. We don't know, but we're about to find out.

Not sure about that. Moyes was considered very stable, experienced and overperforming .

Arteta otoh is a pure low cost gamble with benefits...doesn't mean he won't fail for the same reasons.

The excuse that we're only going with Arteta because we can pay him less is moronic. Kronke's not risking his investment for what would be pennies for him and the club.

Not to mention Moyes took over at the reigning champions while Arteta inherits a team that barely finished above midtable.

Arsenal Quotes

It was a unique moment, a football fairytale. Was there anyone left who still believed I could give that kind of performance? Probably only Arsène Wenger.
