It seems a bit of an over-reaction. Trash-talking is part of the game for some players, especially those coming from a street-football background, we shouldn't dismiss it as childish behavior. But what he did at the end of the game was out of line.

I tend to agree about the "attitude" being harshly punished but the throat grab was f*cking stupid in retrospect.

Why potentially rule yourself out for three games once the game is already over? So the he deserves to be sat out for that.

Maybe Guendouzi did some stuff in the dressing room afterwards? Could be more stuff happening in the background? Or he may just have called out Arteta on his coaching?

Regardless, good on Arteta to exercise his authority. Lets hope he's not automatically back in the squad just like Özil was.

These aren't really meaningless games though. Maybe in the context of the league table, but think of it as an extended pre-season for 20/21 especially with the lack of a proper training camp ahead of next season.

Arteta basically saying Guendouzi out for disciplinary reasons. People who are 100% focused. Too many massive questionmark's over Guendouzi for someone who hasnt done very much and regularly looks like he is dis interested.

Even if Guendouzis form has not been up to much pretty good skill set to bring of the bench. Not much on there bringing the same intensity today.

Truth be told, I would much rather have had him in the XI than Ceballos and that's saying something. I like Ceballos determination but overall I'm not having him. Nice stats, not much substance so far for us. That Burnley game seems a long time ago!

Yeah I agree. Not a fan of Ceballos at all, can't see what he does well other than take the ball and turn neatly.
