If we’d have somehow equalised they’d have scored a couple more to punish us no problem.

Felt like they were just training, rested some players and all, got KDB some fitness minutes and just smashed us without even trying.

So Everton play the game of the century and get beaten 3-1 but we lose 1-0 and we are faeces.

Someone's in need of a lobotomy surely?

They’ve got a CL game mid week.

Pep did Arteta a solid here. Nice easy 1-0 defeat rather than the four or five it would’ve been if they tried.

Everton show some effort even if thier goal was fluke we didn't show anything at 2nd half

It was only 1-0 but we are absolutely MILES away. No idea what Arteta is banging on about how we're in a better place 6 months ago. We have completely regressed.

We’re conceding about a goal a game. That’s defensive form good enough for top three most seasons. We just need to work out how to score.

Still Pining for Wenger
Being serious though, that was decent-ish...especially after going 1 down in 90 seconds.

More important match on Thursday anyway, we move!

There's a thing in football called momentum and the best way to prepare for a "more important match" later on is to win games and be in good form going into it.

Yeah, people are being too negative. Especially since the same people expected us to be smashed by 4+ goals.

1-0 to a rising City is our least embarassing loss this season.

Rubbish performance. No cohesion. No real attempts. Just nothing. Wenger at his very worse was better than this. We just can't move up the table. We are back to November form in reality. just winning three consecutive games would be nice. Great prep for Thursday too :(

We weren’t even in the game through the second half. They were in control, we were on the defensive, and barely had a sniff of a chance. Supposed to feel happy about that? Don’t think so. The margin was one goal but the gulf between the two sides was enormous.

Not sure what people expected.

City right now are the most dominant PL team since the Invincibles and I'm not even sure if that team had a run quite like the one City are on now.

They just curbstomped Liverpool/Everton/Sp**s by a 10-2 scoreline.

It's a shame we were asleep at the start because after the first 5 minutes we did a good job limiting them.

Could’ve been 0-0 but we had another slow start. Surprised a foul wasn’t called on Sterling for the push off on Holding for the goal (I’ve seen that given so many times in all areas of the pitch) but so it goes. City werent as effective as they wanted to be. Against teams like this we need to take our limited chances. In time we’ll create more.

The future is there for all to see though. We've made amazing progress with this system. And the best is yet to come.

On to the more important match now.

Arsenal Quotes

Arsenal have always been the club of the people, the streets. Arsenal was one of the first clubs to really have black players, so it did represent the mass of the UK and how London is. I hope people at the club know that and who are they playing for.
