Really gutted we lost to City. Should have gotten something from the game. Poor officiating coupled with individual mistakes killed us.

We looked good vs City. We had them on the ropes before the Xhaka incidence.

Hopefully we bounce back from this.
This game vs Liverpool is the ideal game to that.

I expect massive rotation because Arteta knows Liverpool will rotate. I expect some fringe players to come in but don't see a way in @American_Gooner 's
boy Mari and Cedric.

In attack, Nketiah and Pepe should make lineup. In midfield I expect Sambi to take Partey's place.

In defense, White should retain his place. But Tavares and AMN will start in FB.

Prediction.

Arsenal 2-0 Liverpool

Liverpool since Klopp came have always had some disdain for this competition. So I see Klopp fielding a weak Liverpool side. Liverpool are still trying to chase city for the title and they're one of the favourite for the CL. So they might throw this. They have bigger fish to fry.
With their two best attackers going to the Afcon, anything short of winning this should be classed as failure.

leicester just have 2 covid players and got their match vs everton postponed just this week. They are missing others due to injury and AFCON
That's gay... Before COVID you wouldn't get a game postponed even if half of your players get injured by Xhaka

I know. I posted the same in the Corona virus thread. it's unfair but PL set the precedent and Leicester took advantage of it. So we should also do it.

Lacazette was immense today and was a leader, Martinelli and Saka ran all night long. The entire defence was superb, Gabriel had a couple of dodgy moments as did Ramsdale but it was a great team effort. Considering he's barely played Chambers was magnificent and Holding put in a strong performance too. White was very, very good.

Liverpool showed that without Salah and Mane they have little cutting edge.

Watch the Premier League make it as hard as possible for us to postpone the Sp**s game. Far more likely our request will be turned down. They will probably make us play the likes of Patino and Salah.

Hope we’ve managed to conserve some legs for Sunday. Will be an equally difficult game, Conte will try and get Sp**s to press us early doors.

A draw wouldn’t be the worst result in that game seeing how depleted we are at the moment
