This is really massive. A win is a must imo. These sort of games, performance usually matters. It's the results that matter.

Arteta will have to learn from his mistakes at Old Trafford. We know the sort of threat Sp**s carry. Their midfield is dogshit. They have Royal, Sanchez, Dier and Sessengnon in their back five.

They'll put 10 men behind the ball and wait for a chink to appear in our amour and they'll exploit it ruthlessly and Son has just come back to form right in time for the derby.

We should have all our players back for this (save for Elneny) barring an injuries in the international break.

Lineup

I think it will be the same lineup vs Brentford tbh.

Superb match really, the best stuff the PL has to offer usually.

Both teams in good form with their clashing styles. Think Sp**s edged it though, basically they would be steamrolling us had Son been more accurate with his delivery while we're doing what we always do and yet had to rely on Partey scoring the goal he never scores to break.

No Kulusevski gives us a lot of advantage from the bench, so if Arteta moves well his pieces we can still win this one.
Every chance would have been offside had they scored. L O L

Of somebody’s going to **** it up, there’s a good chance it’ll be Gabriel. This has to stop.

You don't deserve to win games just because you keep the ball and get it in and around the final third a lot, it's what you do in those situations and in your own box which is always most important. Keeping the ball can help facilitate this but it's a means to an end.

It is the same story as against Man Utd. Why does Arteta not learn? When you are in a better situation, why not sit back and let the opposition try to play football.

Their whole set-up is for sit back and counter. While they have slow central midfielders and central defenders, why do we commit so high on the pitch? Arteta thinks we are prime City or Barcelona and we should play attacking football 90 minutes...

IMO Sp**s look more dangerous, we haven’t been able to get behind them apart for a couple of times with Jesus. They are defending with two lines so deep. Whilst there forward players have acres of space in arsenals half on the counter.
Not surprising our goal came from outside the box, there is no space in their box.

Tomiyasu needs to bench Gabriel sooner rather than later. Gabriel is a great player but he has at least one mistake a game in him. Saliba looks like the more mature defender.

It was as stonewall a penalty as you can get.

Also Ødegaard should have been booked for pulling back Son.

The referee is not to blame for anything at the minute.

Yeah he's had a good game, I like that he's letting the game flow and so far nobody on either team has taken advantage of him for it.
