Would be happy with Mount and Rice for midfield, Rice can play 8, proper competition for Partey and both have a lot to prove at this stage of their careers. Would take 150m but I think it's worth it, we need goals from midfield which I think Mount can give us in advanced 8 position on the left.
If we get these deals done quickly we have a lot of time to try and get a ST or give Balogun a preseason, and find a RB option.

Yeah but like you said yourself they're poverty minutes, not unlike when he played as false 9 vs Villarreal, Pepe who used to get thrown on to salvage a draw in the final seconds etc. Overall point he's very talented at being direct and cutting in towards goal, retention and circulation he's gash.
Critical of ESR and his unserious attitude myself but a manager who rotates more doesn't let it get to this point. Appreciate he spent a long time out of the picture with his injury but as it is with him being available for more than half the season and playing like two hours we should've taken Villa's money.

We need alternatives to Ødegaard, think it’s gone an under the radar a bit this season how fortunate we’ve been that he’s been fit for the vast majority of it.
Ode/Mount/Gundo are CL calibre options for the 8 role.

As for Mount, it’s not like he’s free, he has a year left, we’d have to pay. Mount doesn’t move the needle imo, he doesn’t get us the extra points we missed this season, for me, a Caicedo does.

But I think if we had the option of him to come in and play RB, or play alongside Partey in certain situations, then we wouldn’t have conceded so many goals.
Basically, Caicedo would be our utility player, a player who can come in for White, Partey or the LCM.
