Yeah, I flicked over to the Roma game after ours and Gervinho is just..........I feel sorry when I see him, the lad needs a hug or something.

Whilst, it was no doubt a horrendous miss typical of him, the reality is 99% of players would have stopped running at the sign of the first defender, turn back and pass it off to a team mate. If Gervinho was efficient, he'd be top quality. The problem as we all know is that he's just so damn wasteful. Still, I'd rather have him than Gnabry or Miyaichi. We are in a desperate need for a player who can consistently reach the byline and can execute decisive cutbacks.

My best friend is a Roma fan. He was excited when he heard Gervinho was joining them as he knew he had a good scoring record in France, and thought his physical attributes would make him a dangerous player. Now a few weeks in he already can't stand him.

I think its hard to realize how bad Gervinho is until you watch him regularly. If you just see highlights or watch the occassional game you can be fooled by his random plays that actually work out.

but then again, he's too mentally handicapped, and can't be expected to have real education and training in critical thinking. but fans with college degrees pull that stuff, which is what does my head in.
