It's like FA intentionally make a joke out of all their appointments.

Media has just too much influence on the build up of your national football team.
Till you unplugged that nothing good is going to happen.
A manager needs time and the freedom to choose whatever the hell he wants.

The national teams who have historically done well internationally have almost always had a domestic club feeding them the bulk of the players.

Germany have Bayern as their feeder. Italy with Juventus and Spain had a Barcelona core during that successful four year patch.

Instead of creating a Squad full of superstars from the Top Six, England would be better suited to have a couple of feeder clubs for the NT. I think Arsenal and Liverpool can play this role.

Do you not think that stems more from the fact that those leagues are a one horse race (Italy), a two horse race (Spain) and a one and a half horse race (Germany)? What other big league has so many different winners over a decade?
