Same source that keeps pushing the Vazquez story, desperately trying to create a market for their players.

They don't need to create a market for a player like Ceballos.
A lot of clubs would take him.

But i don't think Arsenal should develop a player for Real Madrid. They will not give us an option to buy and Ceballos wants to stay there for the future.

On the other side, we don't have a bid budget and other positions like LB and Winger are more important at the moment.

He was important because he was creative & carried the ball into the last third of the pitch. No need to be "an engine" though. Don't care about Ceballos, this rumour is nonsence anyway.

Yeah, but Ramsey was so important, because we had no wingers (Iwobi and Mikhi in poor form) and Özil had a bad season. There was a huge gap between midfield (Torreira, Xhaka, Guendouzi) and our Strikers.

It's is possible without another CM, but we need at least one good winger.

Maybe the links aren't solid but the transfer make sense. The player thinks he's got what it takes to make it in Madrid. Just need to prove it. At Emirates he shouldn't really have a competition for the first eleven while at Sp**s he certainly does. Could be a smart one for us.

League is very weak
Flamini was an "engine" too. No point of having fitness and mobility if you havent got the technical ability or footballing IQ required.
No technique or IQ but he was wanted by Ferguson, played here for 10 years and has now joined a club ten times better than us.

Song also joined Barcelona.

Bebe, Fred and Kleberson also joined Utd.

Jose and wenger went for Walcott and Diaby.

Wenger and Ferguson went for Jones.

Teams makes poor judgement calls on players.

Like any player, Ramsey has strengths and weaknesses

His strengths are his engine, his grit and ambition, and his late runs in to the box.

His weaknesses are technique, football IQ, and positional discipline.

It was a failure of management playing him on the wing, playing him in a creative role, or playing him deep but not partnering him with someone who balanced his weaknesses.

It was a failure of Ramsey to let his ambition get the best of him, always leaving his position to attempt to score, rather than working on discipline and making his forward runs sparingly.

Ramsey needs to play as a #8, linking midfield and attack, leading the press, and playing next to complete holding player who is disciplined, can be the fulcrum in possession and buildup, and has enough mobility and defensive ability to cover the gaps when Ramsey goes forward. Played like this Ramsey can be a real asset.

He had a lot of technique and IQ when he was young, but after the injury, he decided to abandon all of them, to develop his boring **** engine style of play.

Flamini was a defensive midfielder who focus on protecting the back four when everyone was attacking. Just like gattusso, makelele, he doesn’t need much of the technique to be in that position.

Having a DCMs with Technique & ball playing ability helps e.g Pep has always gone for one ( Lahm, Busquests,Gundogan, Rodri Fernandinho).

It will be great to have them as well but you lost a bit of a physical presence at a position that requires it too. So I would say they are different kind of players, not necessarily better or worse but depending on how you set up your tactics.
Just like you wouldn’t say Sol Campbell was **** because he wasn’t a ball playing defender.

Ceballos needs to play with his head up a bit. Focus more on his positioning and teamwork.
He plays a bit like tielemans.

I was so against signing tielemans. But last season he improved a lot.
Tielemans was more aware of his positioning. So he doesn’t leave huge gaps for the opponent to exploit. He stays in his assigned position more, doesn’t run around the pitch like a fool, and will dribble/run forward ONLY when it’s perfect timing, which either he sees there are no opponent player to start a counter or he has his teammate covered for his position.
The decision making on picking who to pass to, the timing of passing and the accuracy of passing has vastly improved. He played more with his brain and his teamwork is way better now than before.
These are the most important attributes of a midfielder, which he was **** at it a few season ago. But now, he is a different player, and could be a good signing for Arsenal.

I hope Ceballos could make the same improvement.

Tielemans had a thing to prove to get his transfer.
Let's give him a full season now and judge him then.
My bet is there will be less of his fans next summer

Arsenal Quotes

In a football match anything can happen, the players, 90 minutes, fantastic moves, an element of luck, talent, courage, and touch of magic and, for those who are watching these men play, the search for excitement, for a memory, for a lesson in life.
