Retain interest is a little odd, i'm pretty sure we'll put a third bid in but not sure what we're waiting for exactly. Maybe some sales?

I think what Orny saying is the deal on hold there is no progress but i think we'll see progress now Tierney or other LB.

Think I saw something about attention turning to Tierney once Pepe transfer fully completed. We've announced two transfers at a time previously, but seems like we're just slowing it down because he cannot play right now anyway.

I wonder if we are waiting on some specialist medical report, given his health problems last season - retaining an interest smacks to me as cautionary in case we decide to back off

yeah it feels like the deal is on the back-burner, Arsenal are more focused on getting Pepe done and then maybe a CB before refocusing on getting this over the line.

Makes perfect sense to sort key Pepe & CB deals first. In the last week who knows what happens.

If Ryan Sessegnon still at Fulham last few days could see us making a move. Could be a great asset down the leftside be it an option at LB, LM or LW. Having two senior LBs gives allows us to take the risk.

I think we've let other teams do all the leg work to see what fee Lille find acceptable and then we've jumped in at last minute bro. Unless we been working on this for weeks behind the scenes but then surely it would have been reported.
It was, by the French press...

It’s not like the Tierney deal needs much work. It’s there to do by altering a few lines on an offer sheet.

Nothing Wrong With Me
The structure of the deal was only a couple of million out so I'm confident this will get done, unless he is unable to pass a medical.

Hard to see how we can do that without having a medical. And we wont have a medical until a deal is agree and a contract provisionally accepted.

We will be well aware of his current medical issues and will have asked if all is well, the obvious reply will be yes. At the end of the day Celtic will be doing all they can to get their player fit and healthy for their own season. But thatll be the extent of the information shared.

Thats why clubs do their own medical. To check is the issue healing and to detect any other issues.

If Pepe is confirmed tomorrow, I think we’ll hear about a deal agreed for Tierney tomorrow/Thursday.

Raul doesn’t piss about.

Arsenal Quotes

A team can attack for too long. The most opportune time for scoring is immediately after repelling an attack, because opponents are then strung out in the wrong half of the field. All the men are expected to play to plan, but not so as to stifle individuality
