Clutching at straws here but it really looks like we might not even finish in the Europa league. In some capacity could this be a good thing? KSE are in arsenal for the money so if we keep depreciating in value as an asset, they may have no option but to sell (maybe Dangote or Usmanov or the Newcastle takeover group may look into buying us) or invest money to improve our value (FFP has been lifted this summer)

Anyone think there may be anything in this?

He needs to invest or sell simple as that, we are too far gone now.

The good thing about not playing in Europe is not getting embarrassed. Couldnt care about money. We had a 200m attack and people still want to blame Kronke.

Recruitment pathetic and that's on the scouts and managers.

I actually agree that we have invested a lot recently (relatively speaking) but Kroenke is ultimately the guy who allowed Gazidis to stay in a job for several years, who keeps Raul and his agent kronies in a job. He has to take some responsibility here

Yeah but he cant sack people every 6 weeks. In general the signings arent good enough and you can only judge that maybe in one or two years down the line which means those people have jobs for a couple of years.

As for people saying Kronke needs to throw more money at it. No he doesnt. that horse has bolted. About 10 years ago.

That's when we should have went all Chelsea and City. Not now.

It's like giving your wife enough to keep her ticking over for years, her leaving you for a better, richer man and then you buying her a Ferrari. It's all too late.

Theres not a decent player in Europe wants to come to us. Forget about Saliba who has 0 experience or anyone else. Its doom gloom and we are set for a decade of mid table.

I know we've had a **** result but the answer isn't to just give up.

It's all about perspective too. Liverpool were a joke not too long ago and they've been unbelievable over the past couple of years. If we put the right people in, coach the players well, sell well and invest well, things will look better.

I hope that 2021 will be a huge year for us, players like Özil and Lacazette won't be here anymore wasting huge salaries. If we can re-invest our wage budget more efficiently, we might get back on the right path

Also with FFP loosened, it's a buyers market this summer. If Kroenke would invest some of his own money, we could do very well out of it. Speculate to accumulate and all that

What I'm saying is when you fall so far theres very little way back.

Firstly Klopp was a world class manager. Everyone knew it. We wanted him years before Wenger left. He gets more out of that team today.

Liverpool has a significant history and atmosphere at Anfield.

Our atmosphere at Emirates crap.

Were done.

Who knows mate. The fans won't be happy that's for sure. They will need to invest to get back towards 4th. Natural progression in Saka, Martinelli, AMN, Reiss Nelson, Nketiah etc isnt going to be enough.

The good thing is, nobody can look at this season, and ignore the magnitude of the job.

We need serious improvement from the youngsters, keep our best players (Auba) cut some **** and to recruit really really well.

In reality, with proper investment we'd have gone for Werner, Upamecano and Partey on big wages and let Auba and Lacazette go.

Now we need to find other targets of that quality. Ideally 2MF and a CB. Keep Auba and shift Lacazette.

Even then we need good development to get to where we thought we were this season (4th-6th).

As the only club where players have agreed pay cuts, it's time a family worth $10B show they are serious about fixing this ship.

People worry about finances alot we don't need CL football to spend we got 3rd richest owner in PL it all on him.

We spent near 300m without CL football ffs.

I don't want us going to CL with bunch of average players we deserve where we are because of them.

So what you want is for us to basically offer players 300k a week just to join us as we have nothing else to offer. That will bankrupt us.

The wheel ultimately turns when you invest smartly and significantly enough both on and off the field.

This works for all teams, including Arsenal who you think would not benefit for some reason.

We may be done in your head buddy, but out here we still are the investment and commitment away from getting back on track.

What I'm saying is to buy players that are better than what you have you have to offer them something that they cant get elsewhere. In our case we will literally have to offer players 200k a week for average players.

If you are a top centre back why do you join Arsenal over any of the other 5 or 6 top teams in the league? Why chose Arsenal over European teams.

Who said 300k? You think Werner gets that at Chelsea?

Why choose Newcastle over big European teams? Why choose United and how were Liverpool, City and Chelsea chosen?

Heck if you dont want to look at the big money boys, how were Leicester City able to put together such a good team?

There are ways and means to persuade quality to join us bud, there isnt some block when it comes to Arsenal.

The biggest challenge for our club is investment. With enough investment we are able to build our club up in relatively quick time, because we already are established internationally.

Yes. Chelsea say ok. You have London, probable CL football, a team with a history of winning things in the last 10 years and who is generally there or there abouts. Not in freefall. Bot dominating and far of Lpool and City but there abouts. Young team young manager and big owner to back them. 200k a week no problem.

Arsenal have none of that to offer. It doesnt matter what we did 20 or 30 years ago. Werner was hardly even born when we were winning things. So for him to choose us over Chelsea we would need to offer him more ££. Signifcantly more. Hence 300k.

The only moment of possible happiness is the present. The past gives regrets. And future uncertainties. Man quickly realised this and created religion. It forgives him what he has done wrong in the past and tells him not to worry about the future, as you will go to paradise.
