Not really, he was a top RB. Ferguson wouldn’t keep you as starter for 15 years if he was “detrimental” to the team.
Im not saying he was sh*te but he was definitely very average. Ferguson consistently kept average players who would play exactly how he wanted. The only position he always tried to have the best in the world was striker. Wenger's best compliment he could come up about Neville was that he worked very hard to overcome his lack of talent.

He had an off day but which player doesn't? He's been fairly reliable ever since we got him from Brighton.

For some to say he's been a dud, they must realize he is a crucial part of a squad that got us back to the Champions League & almost won our first title in 2 decades!! That has to count for something.

He was the least naturally talented, but detrimental is pushing it for sure.

This place is full of kneejerkers. He had a bad day today but also the rest of the league doubles up on Mitoma for a reason...

He has not been dud. In the summer no one thought he would even be a RB. He has done a solid job there after great start. But as the season went on we are seeing more and more he has limitations as RB. He is a good player that we should improve on if we get a chance.

Who would you get to improve on him?

Would someone outside of the Arsenal bubble say, that he was the best RB this season? I doubt so.

If you play a natural CB as RB, he needs to be a wall in 1vs1. Like Ake for example, who is doing it briliantly. White gets beaten from a winger way to often, his passing is sloppy often too.

I think it harsh criticism he done exponentially well this season one bad game against tricky winger shouldn't mean he awful.

He need competition next season tho Tomi won't give him that because he always injured

Twice wan bisaka played against Mitoma last few weeks. Both games Mitoma couldn’t beat him once. Has him absolutely in his pocket. Ben is not as good of defender as our fans thinks. That’s why he can’t get near the England team

You lose all credibility comparing him unfavourably to Wan Bissaka. As for why WHite cant get near the England team, its well documented he has problems vibing in the dressing room with England. So thats a false statement

ANother recency take. Apparently Ben WHite is not a good footballer because Mitoma gave him a tough time. Should be buy Wan Bissaka? UNited are keen to sell him? He cant trap a football and is a donkey in possesion, but he is good on the slide tackle.

United are not keen to sell him. He is a starter now.

Don't let one game vs one of thr best 1v1 players in the league skew your opinion of him.

Isak is an excellent 1v1 player who has the pace on Ben White also, but we used Saka to help him out. This time we left him 1v1 with no Saliba covering, so it isn't a surprise he got beaten.

Mitoma cooked Wan Bissaka and had him on ice skate shoes in that second match. If his end product wasn't **** he would've had a couple goals and assists that game.
Hell, you could argue the same about the FA Cup match too.

Arsenal Quotes

In 1997/98 we became English champions as I had set myself three missions to carry out which I felt were essential. One: to have an impact on the result and the team's playing style. Two: to foster the player's individual development. Three: to strengthen the structure of the club and enhance its global influence.
