Bruno Alves has insisted he is staying focused on Porto as speculation intensifies about his future.

According to reports in the Portuguese press, the defender is set to move to Real Madrid this summer as a long-term replacement for Fabio Cannavaro.

Alves has also been linked with a switch to Italian champions Inter Milan as he shares an agent with Jose Mourinho.

The French press, meanwhile, has reported that he could head to Arsenal if William Gallas leaves Emirates Stadium in the next transfer window.

The 27-year-old maintains that he will not think about his future until the end of the season but admits he would then stay open-minded.

He told skysports.com: "I am calm over this speculation. For me it is important to play well for Porto.

"Hopefully at the end of the season we will see where I will be. I am 27 years old and ready."

Anybody minds him? He is a solid defender and decent enough for us

He was at fault for one of the goals Porto conceded against us, but generally watching him for Portgual and other Porto games he is very very solid.

I rather its Toure leaving and him coming in than Gallas...

Oh and we can sign both Sakho and him, as Sakho is still young and can be 4th choice, but Senderos needs to go

EDIT: Not only Senderos, BUT most importantly Silvest.

Bruno Alves is hard as they come. I certainly wouldn't mind him as he's also a very good defender.

Check these vids out, man's a total nutcase:

maybe a good defender, but from those videos he also looks like a dirty, hot headed player. We really need a cool head in our back line.

lol woah, some of those fouls look intentional. He needs to change his attitude if he is ever going to get a chance at Arsenal, doubt Wenger will make a bid anyway.

didn't really seem that dirty when he played against us in the CL the past 2 years. seems he gets a bit nuts when facing Sporting or Benfica BUT you could take a few clips of any player getting sent off, putting them together and making them look like a nutcase.

Reminds me of Rafael Marquez watching them videos. Dirty little **** but he dives and feigns injury as well. No thanks.
