Nelson would be more involved into the game on the left.

He's so much better when he's heavily involved in the game. Needs more touches, more of the ball, needs to be trusted. When he plays on the right, he's deployed more like an outlet, which doesn't take much advantage of his ability. Notice the moment he won the penalty was when he drifted towards the left half space.

He's not a typical cross-and-run winger so RW isn't gonna be his best position IMO. Should definitely move him to the left and Gray to the right. Gray IMO has wasted most of his opportunities down that side.

Can see that Jay DaSilva is a miss.

They need to take off Gray IMO, not done anything in the 2nd half while Nelson grafting on the right. Need to put Nelson on the left and bring on Barnes to let him cut in from the right.

Gray seems neat but lacks so much finesse. Nelson looks quality everytime he's on it.

Is it me, or do managers not give Nelson enough license to drift inside? Spends an awful lot of time in wide areas waiting for passes that seldom come. On the periphery a lot. Seems like he has to force his way inside just to see possession.

Only agree to an extent. Think he's hyper aware that the managers don't trust him regardless of how brilliant he is.

Basically. Even Wenger dicked about with him a bit though, playing him at wing back - but Wenger more likely to give him the belief to attack using all of his abilities. Coming inside, playing combos, being comfy with the ball at his feet more often.
