Yeah, was really wondering about why people think Chantome is the big French-African in the picture. If I recall correctly I posted in the thread and said that that big guy is a striker.

****. Came into this thread to post what I saw last night. Basically this boy is quality. His shooting, with BOTH FEET, is powerful and accurate. His short passsing, again with both feet, is sharp and crisp. He'v very quick, he can drive with the ball. He's quite skilful, always able to buy space for himself one on one. He played as a holding midfielder but even then his off the ball movement was impressive, always running into space, even when then means getting in behind the opposition defence.

Was going to add that what were the chances of Wenger finding the new Vieira and Henry in England. But obviously now I hope he's the new Djemba Djemba. Unlikely though. I know Ramsey is quality, and younger, but I wonder if Man U havent just scooped up the better player.

I hope it will end up as Ramsey case, swung from United to Arsenal...

I watched the second half of the match and i thought he was pretty good. Of course it was against weaker opposition but you could see he's a good player.

“It’s as certain as it gets that Fabian will be a Red in January. It’s a done deal.”

yes, we all know how certain United were about Ramsey - certain enough to declare it on their website. Come on, Wenger :)

Looked good against Northampton, he has a very good left foot and likes to run with the ball. Mind he was playing against Northampton so it wouldn't have too hard to stick.

Funnily enough Leeds have this fat midfielder who looks quite classy. Good touch and shot, he got the goal too from the spot. Back to Delph, certainly looks a prospect and remember I was watching the game not knowing we were linked but was impressed nonetheless.

Bates just wants more money. Unless Leeds somehow end up pulling back to back promotions, there is just no way that they can hang on to a premier league quality youngster. IF, he`s premier league quality that is.

First up, sorry, no link or news or anything - just a comment.

I saw his goal last weekend against, um, someone. I know anyone can score a great goal once in their lives, but it really was a lovely, strong run and shot. He did remind me of someone - leggy, powerful, not Diaby.

Fulham are alleged to have made a bid, but I'd love to see him come to us and we can get rid of Song and maybe Diaby after next season.

I really do like what I've heard about this lad.

He can't have been much fun a few years ago.

Maybe someone other than a Delph will a surprise addition.

My mates also a Leeds fan and he too is a bit obsessed! Never actually heard his views on wether or not he thinks he's top 4 material but he certainly thinks he's good enough to make an impact in the premier league.

I think the boy looks class. Obviously i've hardly seen him, but from the highlights i have seen he looks a cracking prospect. Scored some beauties, very composed on the ball....worth a punt if we can get him cheap

Well I currently reside in Leeds. So know quite a few BIG Leeds fans and every one of them say that Delph will be an immense force for England one day, and will become a very good player in the Prem. However, whether he would be good enough to play for a top 4 team remains to be seen. Most seem to think the likes of Fulham would probably be the better place for him, but he does show great ability.

Apparently one of his best attributes is his dribbling, the ball just sticks to his feet. Last week no one could take the ball off him and he was just dribbling around people for fun and that goal he scored past Brighton and Hove Albion was outstanding.

Latest news on him is that Fulham made a bid of £2.5m and Ken Bates just laughed down the phone at them. I doubt Bates would listen to offers unless they were WAY over the top. So Stuart I'm afraid we won't be able to get him on the cheap, and paying £7m plus would be too much of a gamble.

In a football match anything can happen, the players, 90 minutes, fantastic moves, an element of luck, talent, courage, and touch of magic and, for those who are watching these men play, the search for excitement, for a memory, for a lesson in life.
