If we're going by reports it'll all be done Monday, but usually they announce it the day after/two days after.

However it's still possible he's completed everything and it'll be announced Monday.
Ok thanks mate, it's been dragging on for a while but I'm pleased if the reports are right it's all done & dusted now and pleased he chose us over Napoli & United if what I read a few days back was right regarding United. I'll keep an eye out on the main website in the next few days then.

What I like about getting all these portuguese speaking players is that it will make Martinelli feel more like home. Then maybe if he flourishes he might renew more easily.

Of course players like Luiz, Willian and Cedric are pretty old already, but it shows the intent. Also Brazil and Portugal have usually great technical prospects to get in the future, lured by Edu.

Gabriel Magalhães to sign five-year deal with Arsenal for £27m next week

Arteta still wants to add a midfielder and a forward to Arsenal’s ranks, while he would like Dani Ceballos to join on at least an extra year’s loan from Real Madrid. But Arsenal may have to move players on in order to strengthen further. When Gabriel’s arrival is confirmed, an already swollen set of centre-back options will reach bursting point with Saliba, David Luiz, Pablo Marí, Shkodran Mustafi, Rob Holding and Sokratis Papastathopoulos all considered first-team players when fit. The latter three all look vulnerable, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles and out-of-favour Matteo Guendouzi are among particularly tradable fringe options in other areas.

I reckon they'll go hard for Partey and Aouar now. I think if Lacazette does go, it will be late in the window, in which case we'll bring a forward in. Hopefully we can start shifting some deadwood next week.

no need for a forward at all even if we sell Lacazette. Promote Nketiah and Martinelli and sign Partey & Auoar

Club of Arsenal's caliber cannot go into a season with one proven striker in Auba. It's unacceptable. If Auba gets injured, we are screwed.

We did that with Giroud for like 3 seasons. Don’t think it would be a big deal. Martinelli and Nketiah both deserve a chance, the midfield is a position that desperately needs strengthening a lot more due to lack of sufficient cover

Martinelli is out till January. He wont be up to speed until February. If Laczette goes we need to use the cash and buy a cf. Auba is aging, the time to get a cf is now especially with Auba and Martinelli perfect for the left.

We’re not Man City or PSG we don’t have an unlimited budget. We’re not capable of bringing in players from all positions that need strengthening in just 1 summer. It is a fact the midfield now after Gabriel is done is the position that needs strengthening the most. We need 2 of them imo
