Not enough dynamism or risk taking in that midfield, Gilmour/Sheaf look too similar. Saka been lively the last few minutes.

Nobody on the bench to add that either. Could possibly drop John-Jules to #10 and bring on the U18s current marksman Balogun. Omole is another defensive player, Tormey is a winger and then there's Bramall. Surprising lack of midfielders on the bench - not even an appearance for Matt Smith.

Yeah true but the under 18's did only play two days ago so I'm not that surprised. Been a boring game so far, we just need to get Saka/Amaechi in the game, they are the clear threats.

Yeah. The front 3 are threats but aren't in the game at all. Midfield needs to get the ball forward quicker and better. Still think it would be a good idea to bring on Balogun for Thompson and drop John-Jules into #10 as he's a good passer and can bring the ball forward.

Saka already looks dangerous with the very small amount he's gotten, while Amaechi has literally had 2 touches. We really need them in the game.

2-0 Swansea. FK.

Gonna be a tough 2nd half with this midfield. Sheaf and Gilmour having shockers. Thompson - the left back - is having a better game in midfield than them.

Got to change something because that was poor, literally no progressive passing from the midfield at all. Embarrassing lack of involvement for Saka and Amaechi, yet they're clearly a threat when they get the ball but we don't get it to them early enough.

They've had less then scraps - same thing happened in the Youth Cup game aswell. Stop the supply to them seems to be the gameplan. There's no Willock, he's the big miss because he has the dominance and character, driving the ball forward aswell.

I will say though, I thought Medley and Ballard were decent and couldn't do much about 2 decent finishes. The full-backs IMO weren't so good - doesn't bode well for Osei-Tutu to have a bad game right now - and the midfield shocking.

Oh FFS.

So. Balogun comes on. Good, right?

He replaces John-Jules - who should have been the one to slot in front of the midfield. So we have the same 3 guys in the middle

Sheaf will be released. His career has really stalled with the injuries.
Dunno if he will (or should) get released yet. Could just be a bad game, but he hasn't had any great games of late unlike last season and before that.
