Actually on his debut his hair was pretty similar to this season, short and a bit messy on top (Carling cup).

Your thinkin of the mullet he sported in the community shield, which had a short lived existance.

It wasn't a matter of him looking bad in the hair, it was the hair looking bad on him that was the problem.

That hair realy was awful, and that is jsut about the worst picture I've ever seen of Cesc, kina reminds me of Bob Geldoff, mainly because of the facial expression.

anyone else find it interesting that when we gave both Eboue and Ne trials here, Ne actually looked the better of the 2... now look.. Ne is (who knows where - Olympiakos maybe?) and Eboue, when fit and his head on straight, is one of the best RB's in England... strange how things work, eh?

Mostly that's down to the commitment of the club and Arsène's faith in developing Eboue. It's why so many young players want to get their feet into Arsenal because of Wenger's reputation.

Gervinho Claims Arsenal Interest
Le Mans' gloriously named Ivory Coast International Gervinho has announced that Arsenal are keen on his services.

The skilful 21-year-old, whose given name is Gervais Yao Kouassi, counts Gunners boss Arsène Wenger as one of his admirers, but insists that both he and Le Mans are fully committed to each other - at least for the time being.

“I know Wenger likes signing young players," he said. "I prefer to stay in Le Mans and learn my trade at the club that gave me a chance to be linked with a big club.

“When I arrived at Le Mans nobody knew me, I had to work hard to get into the first-team. Today I am a bit known in Europe.

"Arsenal have spoken to my agents and they are looking at it. Arsenal are a big team, they have made it clear they want me.

"However, [Le Mans director Henri Legarda] is saying no to them. My club is refusing any discussion with Arsenal because they do not want me to go.

"My contract runs out in 2010 and they are keen to extend my deal.”

Quick technical player. Small dude with bags of pace and highly technical. Can't give you a deep analysis as I've only watched him a few times but was not really paying attention.

he sounds like us then -

but it still sounds like he's fishing / promoting himself for his next contract - hell he wouldn't be the only to ever use us like that - even some of our own players do they same sh*t.......

As Wenger says many agents call him up because players they represent want to move to Arsenal. This guy doesn't seem prolific, if Ade leaves we need to get a somewhat proven goalscorer. Personally I hope we get Falcao he looks the business, but his adaption to the Premiership will be of some concern should Wenger opt to buy him.

Guess hes one of the 220 players Arsène was talking about

Sorry MD for not replying, that must of past me. Well basically Stiiphunn described him, dont worry about his goal scoring record as he has more to his game than that. He likes to drift off the the wing and create chances, hes also a hard working trojan and becomes lively when he has the ball. Reminds me of a young wiltord but with more natural gift

We dont need him though unless hes willing to settle for £500 and a curly wurly every week

Guys seemingly begging for a move, though we obviously need to address the other positions of concern first, anyone with more knowledge of French football comment on his recent football performances?

Read it yesterday. Sounds like a statement of ambition rather than a link.

Well, he showed some sharp moments at the Olympics. He's often compared to Drogba, but he's nowhere near that kind of powerhouse. He's smaller, more mobile, is very very quick and makes alot of runs. From what I saw at the Olympics, his finishing leaves something to be desired, and his stats seem to reflect that. Not sure where he'd fit in at Arsenal.

Arsenal Quotes

It was a unique moment, a football fairytale. Was there anyone left who still believed I could give that kind of performance? Probably only Arsène Wenger.
