Italy won the World Cup in 2006, AC Milan won the CL in 2007 and Inter won the treble in 2010. It was probably better for Italian football than Juve winning every season.
And Juve got back and it all went to ****.
Not saying it's related, but the Serie A's lack of professionalism when it comes to running clubs and their own league hurt it a lot. Plus, yeah, bending over to Juve has its obvious costs.
They don't have an El Clássico type of game anymore, they did with Milan/Inter, but they never leveraged it like the spaniards did.
Watching a Serie A game felt like going through a time machine. Don't know how it is now, but the transmission really feels unpolished as a product when compared to the PL and Bundesliga.
