Mmm...hasn't scored a single goal in his career. Can't see him having many chances with Torreira coming on board and Elneny being given a new contract.

It was a tongue-in-cheek mostly. But you never know. If Ramsey doesn't sign and with Wilshere gone, the kid would be our most attacking-minded midfielder.

That would be scary given his scoring stats discussed above. But not really, surely Mkhi is still considered a midfielder?
Different system, players and time. Maybe a bit much to compare a 19-year old potential signing to Parlour and Gilberto as well?
Anyways, Guendou has scored a couple for the French youth teams, so who knows, maybe he has a decent shot on him but his role has been another for Lorient.

Let's hope so. Parlour broke into the team as a teenager if I recall rightly.

Incredibly exciting transfer for me, even though I’ve never seen or heard of this guy before.
Reason being that it’s clear the club have a proper transfer system in place now.
Emery / Sven clearly identified a desire for a young CM in this mould. First choice was Adli, but (like many transfers) that didn’t work out so we’ve moved quickly to snap up this guy instead.
Reeks of a well-run club for a change. Targeting profiles of players not certain individuals. If we can’t get our first choice then we’ll get our second etc.
Far cry from the calamitous Wenger days where if we couldn’t get Suarez etc then we’d end up with nobody.

Might be played on the wing though, since he is the only one who is natural there. Unless we place Özil etc. Actually Emery's wide men operate a lot like inside forwards. It is interesting to guess how we will set up.

You mean Miki? Maybe. That was the advantage of a back three, not that our full-backs have been that nifty crossing in recent seasons. But Lichtsteiner seems to be a decent crosser.

Going to have to put faith in Sven and Unai with this as Guendouzi doesnt seem to be all that. At all. Looks awkward on the ball with no real stand out qualities. This would be one to really judge Sven on as £7.5m is a fair chunk of our transfer budget which could have been used for a winger.
