I can guarantee you that Wenger owns a typewriter and will 100% not use a keyboard to write his manuscript.

What's wrong with the old pencil and paper? I'd venture to offer a feather quill. It was good enough for Gibbon and Pascal.

For anyone who thinks that Wenga didn't do tactics...Lacazette on Arsène and Unai:

The France international feels he has more freedom to play his natural game since Emery’s arrival in the summer. ‘With Arsène, yes [wanted me to stay in 18 yard box],’ he said. ‘With Unai it’s different. He wants me to play my game so do more runs behind and come more in the contribution of the game.’

That isn't "tactics" though, that is very basic instructions regarding player role. Of course Wenger did that. Tactics have to do with the interplay between players, for me it's a bit more complex than that. Or if you want to call it tactics, then it's the bare minimum in that regard.

By the way, just watched this. Dislike ****ing Bayern Munich but would like to see what the old man can do with a squad such as their, how he will rejuvenate it with young signings, etc. I'm afraid I might support them for as long as he stays there. If this happens of course, which, yeah, is a big if.

That's the evolution Wenger missed. In his mind, instructions to players would be tactics.

Both the invincible generation, and project youth worked because the players would go and naturally interpret his instructions and made them work....when this new generation arose that needed to be reminded constantly, his 'tactics' failed.

Bayern would be stressful for him, methinks...too many old players, too many injuries. how do you instruct Robben/Ribery to play? they know it already and will resist any changes.

Ancelotti succeeds at big clubs for this very reason...rarely seen him make huge tactical changes when he takes over...unlike, say, Capello or LvG.

He'd take over to change them, to create a foundation for their future super teams.

Well could he end up at Madrid? or will Conte take up that role?
Wenger is a big specialist in building for the future tbf.

Wenger isn't a specialist at anything anymore, that's why Real Madrid would rather get Conte or even that Castilla guy rather than Wenger.

I think it's laughable that Wenger fans think big clubs would want him when even Arsenal didn't want him anymore. Wenger has been available for how many months now and both Real Madrid and Bayern already passed him up over less experienced managers.

The best he can hope for is using that friendship with the PSG owner and get that sporting director role or managing a smaller club, which is not bad at all consideing how badly his time here ended.

Wenger himself said that he got a lot of inquiries. I think it is his age.

PSG, Madrid or Bayern are temporary assignments for any manager. If they appoint him, it would probably be as a DoF, and not as a manager.

Sure but we didn‘t refuse Emery for someone and then go after him after that someone got sacked.

Both Real Madrid and Bayern had the opportunity to sign Wenger this summer and both decided for someone else. Why would they go for someone they deemed a worse option than Lopetegui and Kovac in the first place?

He doesnt fit racist bayern and probably also not Madrid. He needs freedom, and went to japan rather than take a vanilla job. He wasnt desperate then, so its unlikely he is now.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with him not thinking about managing at the time...

Or you know, he could have refused the offers like he has done before. Mind boggling that someone can refuse an offer right?

We can talk about facts when a reliable source confirms that Real Madrid and Bayern want Wenger as their manager right now. Until then you can believe what ever you want, if it makes you feel better.

Arsenal Quotes

When Patrick Vieira came over from AC Milan, he didn’t know a word of English. We gave him accommodation, phone, car and an English teacher. I talked to Patrick in fluent French and before a game I asked in French, can you speak a bit of English to me? Patrick nodded and replied: Tottenham are shit!
