Maybe

You're wrong, no?
The point is that his ability is such that it warranted caution against writing him off and labelling him a wasted of money so early, despite the developments.
Fair enough, but there are many examples where talented players failed after big transfers for non-football reasons. We are not in a position to do that and Pepe must play every game

Cut the crap, there wasn't a single post about his ability as a player. People were right to complain and ask questions when your highest transfer sits on the bench for no reason.
From day one it was clear he is a baller, but managers were still more willing to change formation or do crazy setups just to avoid playing him.
If this show today wasn't enough for him being a default starter for rest of the season, then something is very wrong with this club or player
If I'm Kroenke, every person that was involved in this transfer would be fired tomorrow morning.
Which one is it?

His set piece delivery is so good as well, just another string to his bow.

Also seems like he was actually a bit injured going from Areta's comments. We don't know the ins-and-outs so sometimes it's best to wait for news rather than suggest we sell him ASAP.

Some God-awful posting in this thread sometimes.

He was very good today, only worry was his fitness as you could tell he was lacking some pace to take on Luke Shaw and press with the unit. He would drift a bit and step off. Also when he received the ball a few times, instead of in stride and with movement, he just stood still and tried a few step overs. I think once he's 100%, we'll see him consistently starting and thriving in this setup.

Really happy for him and it seems his issues have been around fitness and not all the other stuff people were hinting at, thought he was better on the ball today as well, didnt look to pull of tricks every time

Both Pepe and Guendouzi ATM have about as much "ability" and "quality" as Xhaka...... stop pretending that these players are Cesc or RVP. They are all highly flawed in some way and they need to improve a lot in the next few seasons if they wish to be rated more highly than Iwobi was last season. In the case of Pepe what exactly do fans expect him from? Cause his touch is poor, his decision making is poor, he takes forever to get a shot away...... Pepe has about as much quality as Gervinho. He's not a playmaker, he's not clinical enough to be given the main goalscorer role.... all he can do now is dribble past players only to give the ball away cheaply.

Loved his little stadium tour when he got subbed, felt like he went round the pitch twice soaking in all the applause

Does he really played with a knock? Maybe that's explains why Arteta took him off early.
