Ousmane Dabo

Decent is all that he is, nothing more. If you want a really good midfielder whos contract runs out this summer, then we should look at Fabio Liverani. Liverani is a bit different player than Dabo, Dabo concentrates more on the defensive part in midfield, while Liverani pushes forward and gives support to Di Canio/Rocchi. Liverani is also not too bad at corners and free-kicks. Dabo is more of an play-destroyer(for the opposition), while Liverani is the "maestro".

Thierry Henry is **** at corners, van Persie and Reyes are the ones at Arsenal who know how to hit a proper corner.

Yes, I think that his mother is Somalian, his father Italian. A very good midfielder, and the first black player to have played for Italy(also Lazio`s first black captain).

Liverani`s free-kicks from the sides(not straight on goal) are better than Thierry Henry`s, and Cesc`s corners against Real were really awful.

On a free why not.

I am not a great fan of his (have seen tanks turn quicker) but he would provide competition to Gilberto. He would be usefull in away games up north.

There's been talk of this guy before. I really doubt he will sign for us as long as Cesc, Diaby, Gilberto and Flamini are Arsenal players.

I can't quite understand this. He is half Italian, half somalian. Why is he classed as black when he is clearly not.

Because he is a bit more tanned than most people of mixed races are, do you understand now?

Although I suspect we're not after a central-midfield maestro. Having some reliable backup for Gilberto (or a replacement) is more important than signing another attack-minded central midfielder...

I've not seen much of Dabo, but I did watch the recent Lazio/Roma game and I have to admit Dabo played very well in this game.. He has quite good touch and plays it simple but nicely.. He also seems to be a specialist holding type player which Arsen likes.. He was actually alot better than I expected, cos I read alot of poor reports about him on here..

I'm all for replacing Gilberto, and although Dabo is a good player, and free also, I just feel there is better out there.. Personally I'd take Senna who is more gifted on the ball but still provides defencive stability.. He also partnered Cesc brilliantly in the recent Spain friendly..
