I think nobody doubted his ability, they were doubting his maturity.

I really, and I mean REALLY hope Jermaine makes it, but he was acting like a **** a year ago. Now he seems to have settled down, and to be fair to him, he made it out of that Leeds team intact, so well done to him.

This just goes to show though, Arsène really does know!

Anyway, Jermaine for PM!

Why on earth would people need to doubt the maturity of a 20 odd year old man.

Let us look at what most 20 year old men are probably doing

1) Getting Pissed far too often

or

2) Having unprotected sex with numerious birds of dubious character

or

3) Smoking or taking things they really should not be

or

4) Stealing things that dont belong to them, women included

or

5) Dropping out of college

or

6) Going to jail

or

7) Having too many punch ups

etc etc

There are millions of 20 year olds who have and are doing a lot worst.

I'm Nineteen, twenty on the 30th December and haven't committed any of those things on your list. Age should never be used as an excuse to cover ones actions. But I also understand Jermaine has cash flowing out of his nostrils so its unfair to compare him to the average 20 year old.

BTW I've been defending Jermaines cause for three years now on other forums and been called a fool for doing so. As always, its us Arsenal fans who have the smiles on our faces now.

Well, he faded in the second half, IMHO, but that first half was terrific from him. But then he was on my side of the pitch, so maybe I noticed him more

Most 20 year olds are not employed by Arsenal Football Club.

Well between 19-21, I pretty much did everything except 5.

Now at 23, I pretty much do the same ****, except for 6 and 5. So I think Pennant is doing pretty ****ing good.

I'm not so sure we should be making Jermaine change his game so much besides cutting in more often, and shooting better. I think his unpredictability and the fact that he plays unlike Pires and Ljunberg, and yet is as talented, is a benefit for the Arse. He gives us a different option that has been missing in our game. Henry can become good in the air if he tries really hard. He has the height, jump and power. He needs to simply look for more headed goals and better direction.

Arsenal Quotes

It was a unique moment, a football fairytale. Was there anyone left who still believed I could give that kind of performance? Probably only Arsène Wenger.
