Sad news, hopefully our legend gets back on his feet soon.

In other news, I see rival fans celebrating the incoming new manager bounce this Sunday, probably with the assistant or something.

Balls to the wall for the first 45 minutes. Get a couple of goals up and look to coast and control the game from there.

When team sacks their manager and their next game against Arsenal that team wins the game, so come Sunday C.P. vs Arsenal should be hard game maybe a draw

Is the 'new manager bounce' real or a myth?

If we go by statistics and data, the 'new manager bounce' phenomenon is actually real.

Of the 26 managerial changes that took place, 20 of them averaged more points per match (ppm) in his first five matches in charge than his predecessor.

In nine cases, the new man doubled the previous points average or did even better than that.

However, the new-found success may or may not be might not be translated in the long term.

I mean, they have to get a new manager first before any 'bounce' takes place. They'll also need time training to bed in the new manager's philosophy/tactics. Neither of which applies to Palace.

I'd assume the sacking was done earlier and announced just now. Some coaching guy may have already been taking training sessions for a day or two.

Its interesting how our performances at the moment appear to be much better away from home. Might be coincidence with respect to which teams (and their form) we have played home and away, but its still interesting.
Likely emotions getting into them and the way teams approach us at home its frustrate us more

Sad to see Vieira got sacked. Shouldn't make difference for our game they basically still have same players they wont turn into prime Barcelona maybe the interm coach will try new things

Not really. Players may have given up on Vieira. Maybe they didn't like his tactics or how he was getting his ideas across.

Patrick gone maybe some players who were on the fringes up their effort levels. Maybe some first team players do the same. Maybe they revert a few tactics to what worked for them in the past instead of trying to progress.

Either way....we should have enough to beat Palace at home and if we don't....well we can maybe just put booking those flights to London to watch the title parade on hold. We can literally not afford to drop any points at home.

Arsenal Quotes

In a football match anything can happen, the players, 90 minutes, fantastic moves, an element of luck, talent, courage, and touch of magic and, for those who are watching these men play, the search for excitement, for a memory, for a lesson in life.
