Wilshere in a year or two is going to be absolutely incredible.

Like Feo

Laugh all you want but our attack has been considerably worse since he got injured.

Dont you mean Rosicky?

All we had was a puncher's chance with Theo.

Told you I hadn't lost it.

I still think Walcott will tear up trees, but Wilshere's got it. Whatever 'it' is, he has it.

Almunia - 7, particularly good save when the wall let a shot go through it
Eboue - 5, very nervous at first settled later
Gallas - 4, not bovvered, see ManU in the FA cup last year
Djourou - 8, pretty good especially considering the rubbish around him
Silvestre - 4, shockingly bad, looked like he'd never played fullback
Song - 7, did well for a long time holding in a 4141
Denilson - 5, pretty ineffectual playing too far forward
Diaby - 4, started well and faded fast, playing too deep/wide
Ramsey - 5, not suited to playing wide
Vela - 4, not suited to playing wide
Bendtner - 4, not suited to playing as a lone striker

Think I can agree with that. Bendtner should be a bit lower though.

I don't really understand why people put too much emphasis on this result, though. We all knew that the club didn't cared about the game at all. They'd probably left a walkover if it was possible. Yeah, it was disgraceful etc, but people still need to calm down. Barcelona and Inter both lost to inferior opponents last night. Today United were moments away from doing the same thing. This is what happens when you put a lot of players, reserves or not, on a football field and they know forehand that they just have to get through the next ninety minutes (and before anyone starts pointing a finger towards the backup players and/or the reserves, let me just point out that Gallas was both the most experienced and, Bendtner and Silvestre apart, the worst player on the field today. Of course he could be considered a backup player nowadays, but anyway). We saw a sorry mix of players who were low on fatigue, low on confidence, low on form, players who were not ready and players who did not care at all. Happens. Happened in a game that mean **** all today. Get over it. We didn't see the team that's gonna face Middlesbrough come saturday. Improvements will be made. Rant your hearts out if we lose that game, but calm down right now. There was nothing worth playing for today, and we got a team that didn't bother to play as a result.

Re: Porto 2 Arsenal 0 - Match Ratings

Don´t actually know why is Vela getting these ratings. Can´t remember a moment when he lost a ball he shouldn´t have. Always trying to create something but his mates didn´t seem to want to help him at all. A few good passes and he can cover a ball no one else in our team can. Can agree with the others, not with Vela though.

Almunia 6
Eboue 5
Gallas 5
Djourou 7
Silvestre 5
Ramsey 6
Denilson 5
Song 4.5
Diaby 5
Vela 6

Arsenal Quotes

A player's true character is in how he plays and not in his social life. You can hide your real personality in your social life, You cannot on the field.
